Common coil notebook coils are mostly made of metal, such as iron, stainless steel, etc. For iron coils that are prone to rust, manufacturers often use galvanizing as a basic anti-rust method. By plating a layer of zinc on the metal surface, using the characteristics of zinc's higher chemical activity than iron, zinc is oxidized first when forming a primary battery, thereby protecting the internal iron from corrosion, and showing a good anti-rust effect in short-term use.

Some coils also use a painting method to evenly cover the surface of the coil with a special anti-rust paint, such as epoxy resin paint, which has good adhesion and corrosion resistance, can isolate air and moisture from contact with the coil, and to a certain extent delay the rust process.

In terms of the durability of the effect, if the notebook is often in a humid environment, such as the rainy season in the south, even if the galvanized coil is exposed to high humidity air for a long time, the zinc layer may gradually be corroded and consumed, and then the internal iron will begin to rust. If the painted coil is scratched by external force and the paint layer is damaged, it will also cause loopholes in the anti-rust system, allowing moisture and oxygen to enter and cause rust.

Stainless steel coils are relatively more advantageous. They contain alloy elements such as chromium and nickel, and can spontaneously form a dense passivation film with strong corrosion resistance. They can maintain a good state in long-term use, but their cost is relatively high. In general, in order to ensure the durability of the anti-rust effect of the coil, in addition to optimizing the anti-rust treatment process, it is also crucial for users to properly store the notebook and avoid it in a harsh environment. Only in this way can the coil notebook always remain in good condition over the years and serve users for a long time.
